On December 22, 2007, LBFE in collaboration with the Latin American youth and young adult pastoral team of the Archdiocese of San Francisco celebrated the 3rd Navidad Latina. Over 50 mono-Lingual seniors and 25 Volunteers got together to make this a great holiday affair, seniors and volunteers danced and laugh together, listening to traditional songs of the season, reminiscent of years past through a web of never ending stories of culture, traditions family and friend.
LBFE Latino clients and volunteers enjoyed a fabulous luncheon accompany by the traditional Mexican “Ponche Navideño “, while listening to the sounds of live music play by the youthful guitar players from the pastoral team, that delighted our senior by playing popular “Boleros” for the full enjoyment of all attendees. The ambient was festive and the mood full of joy and happiness, seniors enjoyed the opportunity to dance, with a volunteer or with an elderly friend, breaking piñatas, instant raffles and the companionship of their peers, volunteers and friends.
LBFE would like to thank our volunteers, escorts, and sponsors for a wonderful event.
Special thanks to the following sponsors:
